About Me
I’m Matt Brooks, a UX/UI and visual designer based in Southern California with 7+ years of experience across mobile app design, digital advertising, branding, print design, illustration, and content-driven creative work.
Most recently, I worked as a Graphic Designer at LocalCatholicChurches.com, where I created high-volume digital advertisements for local businesses and churches. I produced 85+ weekly ads using each client’s website, branding, imagery, and existing marketing materials to create polished web ads under tight weekly deadlines.
Previously, I worked as a UI Designer at Station Digital Media, where I designed screens for the MyMazda mobile app. I solely designed the MyMazda electric vehicle charging feature, including the UX, UI, and presentation materials for Mazda leadership, contributing to its launch. I also built reusable components, visual styles, and interface assets for the MyMazda design system in Figma while collaborating with UX designers, developers, Mazda business analysts, and Mazda headquarters.
Before moving into app and digital design, I worked in print design, creating menus, signage, business cards, flyers, posters, and brand materials for local businesses. That background gave me a strong foundation in layout, typography, production discipline, client communication, and visual problem-solving.
I also create short-form video content on TikTok, where I built an engaged community of 32K+ followers during a five-month focused content push and produced dozens of videos reaching 100K–1M+ views.
My work sits at the intersection of UX/UI, visual design, and storytelling. I care about making design that is clear, practical, polished, and engaging — whether it’s a mobile app screen, a brand asset, a digital ad, or a story-driven creative piece.
