About Me
I’m Matt Brooks, a visual designer specializing in UX/UI and graphic design, based in Laguna Beach, California, with over seven years of experience crafting digital and print solutions.
Currently, I work as a graphic designer creating high-volume ad content—producing 80+ designs per week across a broad range of industries including healthcare, legal, education, automotive, and hospitality. My work directly supports businesses by delivering effective, conversion-driven visuals under tight deadlines.
Previously, I spent two years as a UX/UI designer for Mazda’s mobile app, MyMazda. I led the design and prototyping for the electric vehicle charging feature, built the app’s design system in Figma, and regularly presented updates to Mazda’s executive team in Japan. I also collaborated closely with developers to implement feature updates and user experience improvements.
Before that, I worked in print design at a well-known shop in West Seattle, where I created menus, signage, and branding materials—including a full restaurant identity for a renowned chef’s crepe restaurant. I also developed print collateral such as business cards, flyers, and posters for local businesses.
My design philosophy is simple: create practical, beautiful, and user-centered solutions that bring clarity to my clients’ vision.
